Computer Assisted Assessment (CAA)
Instructions for Students using the CAA Lab
The Computer Assisted Assessment (CAA) Lab is located in room 105.510 on Level 5 of the TL Robertson library building.
The links below provide information for students on how to use the lab and book a test, as well as providing information for Lecturers wishing to use the CAA Lab facility for their students.
- Students are required to make a booking for each test they sit in the CAA lab.
- Students will only be able to make bookings for the number of attempts allowed by their lecturer.
- Students are able to change or cancel a booking before the booking time.
- If a student does not attend the CAA lab for their scheduled booking, and has used all attempts allowed, the student will be unable to make further bookings until he/she contacts staff in the CAA Lab (phone: 9266 7438). Bookings will be deleted at the end of the day only.
- To book, log into WebCT.
- Once you have logged into WebCT click on the "CAA lab online booking system" link to make a CAA lab booking.
- When you click on this link you will see any CAA lab unit that you are enrolled in.
- Proceed to book times for tests making sure you are on the correct date for the test.
- If you wish to change or delete a booking you must do this PRIOR to your booked time.
Instructions for using the CAA lab
- Leave bags etc. on the bookshelf to the right hand side of the door (inside the CAA Lab).
- Take your student card and any valuables with you.
- Report to the staff desk
- You will be asked for your student card which will be scanned and then you will be directed to the computers in the supervised testing room.
- Mobile phones are not allowed in the testing room.
- Instructions are provided next to each computer in the testing room. On completion of the test make sure you review your answers.
